A lot of updates this week in TV news as the cancellation axe hits across the board. Veteran comedy favourite Psych will be closing its doors for the last time at the end of its Season 8 finale. USA has set the series finale (which originally was the season finale) on Wednesday, March 26 at 9 p.m. While fans will be sad to see Psych go, the show did prove to be the little engine that could by lasting eight long seasons on the air.
Unfortunately for the next two seasons, their freshman run will be their last. Perennial bubble series Sean Saves The World and The Michael J. Fox Show have been cancelled by NBC in their first season - being replaced by Hollywood Game Night which will takeover the full Thursday hour time slot. The Michael J. Fox Show was picked up for a full series before the fall season and it's already aired 17 of its 22 episodes so far. Sean Saves The World, on the other hand, has stopped production on any new episodes and will be likely burned off in the summer.
In relatively good news, House of Cards has already been renewed for a third season - even before the second one has even aired. No word yet on a premiere date but great news for the Netflix produced series.
